The wireless card works fine, and so does the manager. Problem is that when I boot, I get an error message that states the following.Error loading plug-ins. Application will exit.I click Ok, but the wireless works fine. If you leave the error up, the wireless works fine, and the application never exits.I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. You guys are my last hope.Thanks. Post a rep

If you go to Start -> Right click My Computer -> click ManageThen on the left select Device ManagerOn the right scroll down to Network Adapters and hit the + signOnce you know what the model number is go to the Intel site Here and put it in the search box. Download the appropriate driver and install it.Reboot and see if the error goes away.IF it does not, then do this:Go to Start -> Right click My Computer -> click ManageThen on the left select Device ManagerOn the right scroll down to Network Adapters and hit the + signRight click on the wireless adapter and click UninstallReboot your PCWhen windows starts let it find the adapter again and it should find the driver and reinstall itselfThen check to make sure the error is gone. 0 #3 linag Posted 19 February 2008 - 05:10 A

I rebooted my wireless router (Verizon DSL) & laptop to no avail. Clicked on Intel Proset (version 7.1.4.4)kept getting error message "fail to load one of the network component". Finally I disabled the Intel Proset thinking that I could re-enable it; no such luck. When I open it there are no settings or anything...empty. I am online now on another laptop in my wireless network & its working fine. I'm no techie & have no clue what to do. Any help appreciated. More about : intel proset currupt Best solution AntiZig a b D Laptop 29 June 2011 02:02:25 well your description is uncertain... what is the model of your wireless card? when was the last time you updated the drivers? what has led to the problem? installed new software/hardware? drivers? games? etc? have you tried system restore? when you say you disabled intel proset, what exactly did you do? why can't you re-enable it? what does device manager say about the device? Share astroval 5 July 2011 11:12:18 Hi & sorry for the late reply. I can't use system restore NOR can I get windows updates anymore but that is another story... My neighbor came over & fiddled with the laptop for awhile & finally managed to get intel proset re-enabled and everything is fine now. I've had intermittent problems with my wireless router where I lose internet connection & the only way to fix that is to reboot the router but that wasn't the problem this time.
