Before knowing why this happens let's know the technical part of this- When programs run on Windows two things run together- one is service and another is system process. These two run in session 0. But When Vista introduced session 0 isolation in order to protect services running from getting exploited by the elevation of privilege. Now, the desktop of first user runs in session 1.
