As per my previous questions, have you checked the registry? Is this correctly registered? It should be registered under HKCR\Interface with the following IID:HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\{000C0332-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} This registration should also specify the Typelib where this interface is defined, and which is used as the basis for automation marshaling. The typelib, in turn, also needs to be correctly registered - this should be the Microsoft Office 12.0 Object Library, and its registered path should be in this key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{2DF8D04C-5BFA-101B-BDE5-00AA0044DE52}\2.4\0\win32 ...t

I attempted to fix the problem by "detect and repair" but that did not fix the problem. I am able to interface not use Outlook's editor, but I prefer Word 2003 over outlook. If anyone can help me resolve this problem it would be appreciated When I try to open a new message or edit a message using word 2003 in outlook 2003 I get the following message: "Microsoft Word is set to be your e-mail editor. However, Word is unavailable, not installed, or is not the same version as Outlook. The Outlook e-mail editor will be used instead. An OLE registration error occurred. The interface not registered program is not correctly installed. Run setup again for the program." or have a problem with our your Outlook installation then you may encounter the following error messages when syncing with gSyncit ... Error = "A Outlook component failed to load due to a problem with the Outlook installation" Error = Internal error. Unable to cast COM object of type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.ApplicationClass' to interface type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook._Application'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{00063001-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}' failed due to the following error: Library not registered. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8002801D (TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED)). The root issue is that their is a problem with the Outlook installation Common Object Model (COM) interface where the version referencefor the TypeLib entry set by the Outlook installation is pointing to a incorrect value/version or that version does not point to a correct location. The following steps should help correct the most common cause of this issue issue. If you continue to have issues then you may beed to reinstall Microsoft Outlook. Repairing the Outlook installation does not fix this issue so a reinstall is suggested. (this is a 2 step process) Step 1 of 2 (Fix the Interface) Access the Windows Registry Editor via Start, Run, Cmd, RegEdt32, enter. Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\{00063001-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\TypeLib Find a '(Default)' entry with the value '{00062FFF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}' You should find a 'Version' entry. Check that this version matches the value in the following table based on the version of Outlook currently installed. Outlook Version Outlook 2000 9.0 Outlook 2002 9.1 Outlook 2003 9.2 Outlook 2007 9.3 Outlook 2010 9.4 Outlook 2013 9.5 Outlook 2016 9.6 Step 2 of 2: (Fix the TypeLib) Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{00062FFF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} Delete the version keys (e.g. 9.5) for any version of Outlook that is not installed on your system based on the version table provided below. For example, if you are not using Outlook 2013 then remove the "9.5" entry. If you are not using Outlook 2010 then remove the the "9.4" entry.
