Locate the User by last name, under Mailbox rights in AD; check the Change permission - UNCHECK Read & Full; Click Apply; then UNCHECK Change and RECHECK Read & Full; Click Apply. This "refreshes" the Users personal object rights. If that doesn't work, try this. Under the Users mailbox rights; see if the SELF object is listed; if not ADD the SELF account and CHECK Read & Full; Click Apply. Let me know how that turns out - Tuesday, March 06, 2007 8:32 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Encountered this problem as well... Your suggestion for refreshing the personal object rights did the trick. Thank you. TT Friday, March 09, 2007 6:57 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote This worked. Thank you very much. Finding this place has probably been the one most consistant resource. Thank you all for the input and posts that have helped me prepare for my exams! I was also hoping that maybe some Exchange Guru can help me figure out a problem I am having with an Exchange environment (front end/back https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/33964ad3-8584-444b-9ddc-b3c2972ec7d0/exchange-2003-owa-http-500-internal-server-error?forum=exchangesvrclientslegacy end configuration). I have inherted this environment, and I must say I am not the most suave admin when it comes to Exchange. All that I know has basically been self taught through tutorials and playing around with Exchange, so there is no formal training. So here is the deal... Everytime that a user visits the publicly facing OWA login page on the front end server, they enter their authentication credentials but are http://www.techexams.net/forums/exchange-server-office-communications-server-exams/42105-exchange-2003-owa-error-500-internal.html given a "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error....This website cannot be displayed" error page. OWA was working fine just last week. All other mail services are working just fine. I also get the following error message in the Event Viewer: --------------- Event ID: 9175 - MSExchangeSA The MAPI call 'OpenMsgStore' failed with the following error: The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Either there are network problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server computer is down for maintenance. The MAPI provider failed. Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store ID no: 8004011d-0526-00000000 ---------------- Both Servers (front end/back end) run on Windows 2003 SP2, and Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition SP2. I am speaking, as the title implies, of OWA on Exchange 2003 running on Small Business Server 2003. What was happening when the problem internal server error first occurred is that certain users would get an HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server error when trying to log in. When investigating things I noticed that this would only occur on user's whose mail box said that the user was the last one to log into the mailbox, and on the ones where it would actually work, such as the administrator account, it would say that it was last accessed by "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM". During my troubleshooting I tried the following methods in the links below to no avail. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894965 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;829167 Tried uninstalling Exchange Update 926666 as stated was the solution by a poster in this thread - http://forums.msexchange.org/m_1800431832/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#1800488577 , the reference for the update is - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926666/ At first this appeared to have worked, but it started messing up the following day, I discovered that restarting the HTTP SSL service would get it to work again, this lasted for 2 days, but that also stopped working and I'm back to square one, I checked to see if it had automatically reinstalled the update but its still gone I've tried nearly every
