[remote rejected] HEAD -> refs/publish/master/bug/1354150 (internal server error) On the gerrit server the error internal server error log indicates: insert failure on patch_set_ancestors No operations allowed after statement closed. So this is definitely an upstream bug in gerrit. Work-around: git commit --amend Remove the Change-Id line from the comment. This will cause a new Change-Id to be generated. git review Tags: infrastructure Edit Tag help Steve Varnau (steve-varnau) wrote on 2014-10-10: #1 This failure is happening fairly frequently. The database error is after the git change is uploaded, so subsequent re-tries fail, saying no changes to upload. That's why the workaround is needed instead of just re-trying the command. Searched around on gerrit bug list. No one else seems to be getting this exact database failure mode. So now thinking there is something wrong with our config. The JDBC connection might be getting closed before mysql insert operation is done. We are using the same version of gerrit as openstack and have the same mysql settings. With our much smaller user base, we should not be running out of jdbc connections.
