Iisnode Scheduled A Retry Of A Named Pipe Connection To The Node.exe Process
by iisnode scheduled a retry of a named pipe connection to the node.exe process. I am fairly new to node js and IIS and cant figure out , how to make it work. Below is my code for node js file:- var serialport = require("serialport"); var WebSocketServer = require('ws').Server; var SERVER_PORT = 9000; // port number for the webSocket server var wss = new WebSocketServer({port: SERVER_PORT}); // the webSocket server var connections = new Array; // list of connections to the server var SerialPort = serialport.SerialPort; // localize object constructor serialport.list(function (err, ports) { ports.forEach(function(port) { console.log(port.comName); //var portName = "COM5"; var myPort = new SerialPort(port.comName, { baudRate: 9600, // look for return and newline at the end of each data packet: // parser: serialport.parsers.readline("\n") parser: serialport.parsers.raw }); Thank you for your help in advance. hoffmanic commented Jun 20, 2016 • edited Hi there, I have been having the same errors (but for different reasons), my understanding of this error. Is that a communication with the nodejs process and issnode cannot be established within the retry limits of iisnode. I also note that you are using a fixed port for your application. you should change the code to use process.env.PORT || 9000 as iinode

HRESULT: 0x2 HTTP status: 500 HTTP reason: Internal Server Error You are http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24028537/iisnode-encountered-an-error-when-processing-the-request receiving this HTTP 200 response because system.webServer/iisnode/@devErrorsEnabled configuration setting is 'true'. In addition to the log of stdout and stderr of the node.exe process, consider using debugging and ETW traces to further diagnose the problem. The node.exe process has not written any information to stderr or iisnode was unable to capture this information. Frequent reason is that the iisnode module is unable to create a log file to capture stdout and stderr output from node.exe. Please check that the identity of the IIS application pool running the node.js application has read and write access permissions to the directory on the server where the node.js application is located. Alternatively you can disable logging by setting system.webServer/iisnode/@loggingEnabled element of web.config to 'false'.
