the ghost here.. I've got Reporting Services installed, the IIS default website is accessible, and it appears the virtual directories "Reports" and "ReportServer" are there, but
Ssrs 2012 Fips
when I try to access either of these paths via a browser I get the following: Reports - "The report server is not responding. Verify that the report server is running and can be accessed from this computer." ReportServer - Internal Error 500 When reviewing the logs I see this:
"w3wp!ui!7!9/1/2010-11:13:39:: e ERROR: error: failed to create httpruntime 80131500. The report server is not responding. Verify that the report server is running and can be accessed from this computer. w3wp!ui!7!9/1/2010-11:13:40:: e ERROR: HTTP status code --> 500" I've tried the start stop of ReportServices and IIS...no good... I've checked all permissions and can't seem to find any that are lacking... I'm running this on SQL Server 2005 (64bit edition), on a Windows 2008 R2 server... any help would be appreciated... I'm getting gray hairs as I type this :-) Jill Wednesday, September 01, 2010 5:37 PM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote Hi Jill, Usually, in a SQL Server Reporting Services scenario, the error HTTP 500 occurs when: The Reporting Services service is not running The application pool the Reporting Services is running under is not running The ASP.NET for the Internet Information Server(IIS) is 32bit version, however the Reporting Services is 64bit version So, to fix the issue, please follow theseMicrosoft Tech Companion App Microsoft Technical Communities Microsoft Virtual Academy Script Center Server and Tools Blogs TechNet Blogs fips policy TechNet Flash Newsletter TechNet Gallery TechNet Library TechNet Magazine TechNet most likely, the http request contains an unsupported verb or invalid syntax Subscriptions TechNet Video TechNet Wiki Windows Sysinternals Virtual Labs Solutions Networking Cloud and Datacenter Security ssrs 500 Virtualization Downloads Updates Service Packs Security Bulletins Windows Update Trials Windows Server 2012 R2 System Center 2012 R2 Microsoft SQL Server 2014 SP1 Windows 8.1 Enterprise https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/16a79e1f-e48c-4b7b-8388-08a5b1130f60/internal-error-500-and-the-report-server-not-responding?forum=sqlreportingservices See all trials » Related Sites Microsoft Download Center TechNet Evaluation Center Drivers Windows Sysinternals TechNet Gallery Training Training Expert-led, virtual classes Training Catalog Class Locator Microsoft Virtual Academy Free Windows Server 2012 courses Free Windows 8 courses SQL Server training Microsoft Official Courses On-Demand Certifications Certification overview MCSA: Windows 10 Windows https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345220(v=sql.105).aspx Server Certification (MCSE) Private Cloud Certification (MCSE) SQL Server Certification (MCSE) Other resources TechNet Events Second shot for certification Born To Learn blog Find technical communities in your area Support Support options For business For developers For IT professionals For technical support Support offerings More support Microsoft Premier Online TechNet Forums MSDN Forums Security Bulletins & Advisories Not an IT pro?
