With the detailed error, you can locate the real issue here. Also, if you can run the browser on the server, you get details on the error, because the server recognizes that you are local and shows it to you. Or if you can read the log of the server using the Event Viewer, you also see the details of your error. However, here's a quick stab of some things you should look at: Check if Asp.net is installed on the server. Make sure your app is targeting the proper .Net version that is on the server. Check if all the assemblies your code is using are deployed correctly on the IIS server. Add some exception handling and error logging to your code. In particular, I'd venture to make a wild guess that your page is using some code that requires the IIS7 integrated pipeline and your server is either running IIS6 or is running IIS7 in classic mode. Though this is a stab in the dark and could turn out to be completely wrong. :-) share|improve this answer answered Apr 7 Web Platform Installer Get Help: Ask a Question in our Forums More Help Resources Blogs Forums Home IIS.NET Forums IIS 7 and Above Classic ASP How https://forums.iis.net/t/1183344.aspx to enable details of 500 errors on client How to enable details of 500 errors on client [Answered]RSS 9 replies Last post Nov 23, 2011 01:41 AM by nitinslash ‹ Previous Thread|Next Thread › Print Share Twitter Facebook Email Shortcuts Active Threads Unanswered Threads Unresolved Threads Advanced Search Reply tpgnnr 4 Posts How to enable details of 500 internal server errors on client Nov 18, 2011 12:15 PM|tpgnnr|LINK Details display fine if I'm in IE on the server, but from a client, I only get "500 - Internal server error".
