For a long time now, every time I submit a new posting I get a server error. While it's scary, and I do a copy of the text before I Post, the updates never fail. Anyone else out there with this issue? Which version? Any resolutions? Thanks! 08-25-2011, 03:33 PM Post: #3 jackie12 Dreamling Posts: 7 Joined: Apr 2011 RE: Internal Server Error I'm presently using WordPress 3.2.1. - and this problem only started with this update. I've searched the web, and have not seen anything in reference to this problem with WordPress. 08-25-2011, 06:11 PM Post: #4 bobocat Guru Posts: 1,401 J
500 Dreamhost Internal server error 500 Dreamhost mhnassif @mhnassif 6 years ago I am so sick of continuous internal server error i had it lately many times for my website using Dreamhost hosting. I deactivate many plugins as much as possible, every time i contacted customer service they told me that i am using too much memory, but i can't figure out what's exactly using too much memory and they didn't told me. I usually remove htaccess file and re add it again, to get the website working again. But sometime this way not even working. any comments to help me on this problem https://discussion.dreamhost.com/thread-131059.html appreciated. Viewing 4 replies - 1 through 4 (of 4 total) esmi @esmi Forum Moderator 6 years ago Have you tried: - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems? - resetting the plugins folder by FTP https://wordpress.org/support/topic/internal-server-error-500-dreamhost or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems. mhnassif @mhnassif 6 years ago - Yes I did deactivated all plugins and widgets once, then it took about 10-15 minutes and website work again fine. I was using wibiya toolbar causing this problem. after removing it the website was working great with same current active plugins, i also deactivate some sharing plugins. - I also renamed current theme to deactivate it, and default theme auto activated. Thank you esmi for deactivating plugins tip. esmi @esmi Forum Moderator 6 years ago No problem 🙂 mhnassif @mhnassif 6 years ago it's not solved yet, still have same problem. please help me guys to solve this problem. I'd check the error logs and see what exactly is causing the 500 errors before I began bashing anybody for it. █ Michael Denney - MDDHosting LLC █ New shared plans for 2016!
