I do not get the error when I try it for the 'Spreadsheet'. Is it not possible I really appreciate your promptness. P.S. This is the endpoint I am sending the request to - https://www.googleapis.com/upload/drive/v2/files/{fileId}?uploadType=multipart Sort of related to - change Google Drive mimeType on update file http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22803719/internal-server-error-trying-to-upload-a-new-version-of-native-google-docs-file But, I don't get a bad response. I get a 500 Internal Server error - that makes me wonder if there's something wrong at the drive end ? If I had to accomplish this, what options do I have ? google-drive-sdk share|improve this question asked Apr 2 '14 at 6:57 curiouscoder 267 first issue is to isolate whether this is a transient Drive problem (happens a lot) or a problem with your upload request. So (1) does it fail every time, out of say 10 attempts, (2) can you paste the http request and response so we can check the specifics –pinoyyid Apr 2 '14 at 13:21 It fails deterministically for word/presentation. However, for spreadsheet I can successfully upload the 'new' version of the file. –curiouscoder Apr 2 '14 at 19:02 How about setting convert flag to true? developers.google.com/drive/v2/reference/files/update –Juuso Ohtonen Jun 8 '14 at 6:51 add a comment| active oldest votes Know someone who can answer? It did not retry when an error condition occurred although the status dialog did mention that it will "retry soon". The error condition is shown below. The issue was simply resolved by manually resuming sync (but I lost few hours of upload time). Is there any config parameter to let syncdocs to work in completely unattended mode, were if there is an error it simply retries on it's own? Or is that the intended behavior and there is a bug? 3/28/2012 7:20:39 AM(ver. 2.23) Powered down at 3/28/2012 7:20:39 AM 3/28/2012 1:24:55 PM(ver. 2.23) Power resumed at 3/28/2012 1:24:55 PM 3/28/2012 1:25:06 PM(ver. 2.23) Resuming sync after power up at 3/28/2012 1:25:06 PM 3/28/2012 1:25:11 PM(ver. 2.23) Error getting initial doc list User Pause System.Exception : sd criticality=6 Inner: Source: mscorlib : sd criticality=6 Posted 4 years ago # Phil Syncdocs The error is probably caused by the network not being available just after power wakeup. Whatever the cause of that error ("Error getting initial doc list") Syncdocs should probably not go into paused mode after it, but retry, so we'll look into it and fix it in the next release. Posted 4 years ago # Bruce Member I have a similar issue with a (500) Internal Server Error, issued from the Google server. Syncdocs retires 3 times and then stops syncing entirely. Not until I discovered this several hours later, did I restart Syncdocs and am off and running again. Here's the section of the log file... 9/13/2013 6:31:57 AM(ver. 5.53) Res up first chance retry 0 on C:\Users\bwallace\Documents\My Google Docs\Googl-O-
