Mar 31, 2016 10:08 PM|Marco28it|LINK https://www.reddit.com/r/24hoursupport/comments/41c1jl/the_page_cannot_be_displayed_because_an_internal/ Hi All I have a really weird issue on my Windows 10 Home IIS 10 installation. I have a normal html website. However when I load the page direct from the 'server' or from another computer on my LAN I always first get"The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.". Then on Refresh I get the html page as expected. It goes well for a https://forums.iis.net/t/1230509.aspx?+The+page+cannot+be+displayed+because+an+internal+server+error+has+occurred+when+adding+web+config while then until some sort of timeout like 30 minutes?, and then I first get the error again. Every google help I can see, suggests to add debug settings to the web.config. But I have no web.config and as soon as I do create a web.config file in the directory, and I do a restart in IIS on the site, the site *ALWAYS* gives the error"The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.". The content of the web.config cannot be incorrect due to me mistyping as i also tried when 'generated' by iis itself when setting error page feature setting to detailed errors. Please help! These pages work fine under IIS 7 or using internal server error IIS express. How ever on Azure website they do not. As suggested in some other posts I have configured the following for the website on Azure: 1) Web Server Logging - ON 2) Detailed Error Messages - ON 3) Web.config - customErrors mode to off.

I have deployed the site to IIS, but when visiting it with the browser, it shows me this: Server Error 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. After fiddling around with the web.config, I now get: The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred. With the detailed error, you can locate the real issue here. Also, if you can run the browser on the server, you get details on the error, because the server recognizes that you are local and shows it to you. Or if you can read the log of the server using the Event Viewer, you also see the details of your error. On IIS 6
