Your database server isn't installed or running. To check this for MySQL try typing the following command line $telnet database_host_name 3306 You should get a cryptic response which includes the version number of the MySQL server. If you are attempting to run two instances of Moodle on different ports, use the ip address of the host (not localhost) in the $CFG->dbhost setting, e.g. $CFG->dbhost = 127.0.0.1:3308. You don't have the PHP mysql or postgresql extensions installed (please refer to FAQ re. whether PHP is installed). You haven't created a Moodle database and assigned a user with the correct privileges to access it. The Moodle database settings are incorrect. The database name, database user or database user password in your Moodle configuration file config.php are incorrect. Use phpMyAdmin to set up and check your MySQL installation. (A browser refresh fixes the issue, but internal server this will be an unacceptable remedy when we go live.) 2. Correctly enrolled users can not enter the Moodle FrontPage from the JomSocial Joomdle link until after they have visited a course. (Once they've opened a course, they can then go back to the Jomsocial page and use the E-Learning tab to enter their "Overview of Courses" but still not internal server error enter the Moodle front page.) The core seems to be synching perfectly so I don't think it's anything drastic, but these two errors when logging in or out will be a concern to users. Has anyone had a similar situation and found a remedy? Last Edit: 5 years 2 months ago by Antonio Durán. The administrator has disabled public write access. Re: Internal Server Error On Moodle Logout 5 years 2 months ago #2 Chris Offline Karma: 37 At first read, the 2nd issue appears to be a bug. Once Antonio returns from holidays, I have him look at this. For the first, most times this error appears because of a server configuration error - Are you using .htaccess for redirection, replacement, security or otherwise? You may want to try without temporarily to see if the message still occurs - Does it take a while and eventually time out or appear immediately? - What is the link you are trying to connect to? - What is the button you are pressing to log out / from which page

I expect the problem in your server configuration, not in the plugin. There is nothing special in using the plugin with Moodle 2.5.1 - we have it running on this version, too. Could you please set Debug Messages (/admin/settings.php?section=debugging) at least to NORMAL, open the static page again and have a look at the Apache error log if there are any error messages concerning this 500 Error? mruasar commented Aug 7, 2013 Hi, Thanks for getting back quick, I just upgraded moodle to the latest release available on site, and before that I had uninstalled the static_pages plug in just to re-install it again. as now I have downloaded, the pre-install window shows the following message, does it has to do with that? I have turned off language selection on my site, does it has to do something with that? regarding server problem, I have 2 installations running, one manually done (the one in concern) the other was installed using script installer. I will try installing on that one too to see if there is problem with my installation. however every other thing works absolutely fine. my 2nd installation has language selection turned off as well. meanwhile if you can have a look at the screen shot and advice. I had turned ON messages for
