account only takes a few minutes. Join Now Hello, I installed Nagios 3.3.1 + Plugins 1.4.15 by using an Ubuntu 10.04 (Plesk) / vServer. Now it is not possible to Access the Webinterface correctly, because the following ErrorMessage is reported: Internal Server Error- The server encountered omd internal server error 500 an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server unable to get process status nagios administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error. You the requested url /nagios/< was not found on this server. can see the error-logs and configuration-files as attachments to this question. All error-reported files / folders (> logs) are generated and I also can´t find misconfiguratated rights to these files / folders. Any support for setting-up this system would be https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11004&p=57241 very nice because it is urgently needed for international fundraising (> non-profit organization) !!! Perhaps somebody can inform me, what rights with which nagios config-files / - folders I will have to use exactly (0666? which owner? ...?). THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT !!! We will also utilize the Nagios Remote Plugin Executor (NRPE), that will be installed as an agent on remote hosts, to monitor their local resources. Nagios is useful for keeping an inventory of your servers, and making sure your critical services are up and running. Using a monitoring system, like Nagios, is an essential tool for any production server environment. Prerequisites To follow this tutorial, you must have superuser privileges on the Ubuntu 14.04 server that will run Nagios. Ideally, you will be using a non-root user with superuser privileges. If you need help setting that up, follow the steps 1 through 3 in this tutorial: Initial Server Setup with Ubuntu 14.04. A LAMP stack is also required. Follow this tutorial if you need to set that up: How To Install Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP) stack on Ubuntu 14.04. This tutorial assumes that your server has private networking enabled.
