Any solution? Edited by pamelaz on Jun 27, 2011 at 2:11:22 PM Whenever I turn my phone on, I receive this message: 453 error invalid number. please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. {Personal content removed for your safety} Then I get notified from AT&T of a .20 cent charge. I am using an unlocked Motorola RAZOR V3. AT&T said that it is trying to register on the T-Mobile network and that there is a problem with the software. T-Mobile said that it is not a network problem with them since it is not using a t-mobile SIM card. Motorola had me do a master reset, and told me that the only thing that they can do is have me send the phone in for repairs for $75.00 However, I have searched google and have noticed th

Please resend using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. So some application is trying to send a text every time I power the phone on, to the following invalid number 1121611611. I am able to send and receive SMS text messages as well as connect via GPRS/Edge. http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/263678-453-error-invalid-sms-number/ Only thing that does not work is MMS messages, but that uses the data network. I even tried virus detection software, thinking it was a virus that was sending out SMS messages. But it found nothing. As long as I do not restart the phone it's fine, but everytime the phone starts I get that error SMS message. Does anyone out there know what is happening and how I can fix this?
 Disco Stu 0 Hardcore Members 0 7985 posts Location:Coventry, UK Interests:techno, Leeds United Devices:HTC Touch Dual / SPV E650 Posted January 4, 2008 Have you checked the Add/Remove Programs tool - either on the phone or in ActiveSync - to see what third party software might have been installed that would do this. I don't think I've heard of anything that sends text messages back to base rather than using GPRS etc. I would definitely recommend doing a hard reset when buying second hand and that should hopefully clear this problem
 louman67 0 Newbie Members 0 2 posts Location:California, US Devices:Audiovox SMT5600 Posted January 8, 2008 Have you checked the Add/Remove Programs tool - either on the phone or in ActiveSync - to see what third party software might have been installed that would do this. At first invalid number I thought I had the contact saved wrong. But it wasn't that. It happens when replying to a message that was received. I have had it happen on 2 separate text message threads. And it is definitely reoccurring. I can't figure out how to get it to go away. I accidently sent a text to a home phone number and now, anytime I open an existing text message, it displays that error again...in the notification bar, if you try to go to the next, it goes to a new text message..if you discard and then go into another existing message, same thing all over again. Frustrating to say the least! Apr 1, 2011 #5 ncbrowns New Member Joined: Feb 7, 2011 Messages: 1 Likes Received: 0 My wife is having this problem also. The contact has a 10-digit number with the same area code as her phone. However, when the message is sent, it's being sent using the 7-digit number. The "9230"

Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code," every time I try to send a test message to someone. Yes, I have put a 1 and area code in front of the number and still nothing. Anyone have this problem? Any solutions? Thanks for the help in advance. I don't believe you have to dial a 1 with a mobile number...I never have, anyway. Area code + number = 10 digits. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...?-SB Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by latinoheat, latinoheat Jan 10, 2008 2:03 PM in response to SisterBlue Level 1 (0 points) Jan 10, 2008 2:03 PM in response to SisterBlue Yeah, I've done it as you explained it, but still no success.
