All servers get a GPO called WSUS Group Policy. The update server is http://RHD-WSUS-01:8530/ In my WSUS Administration Website I see the RHD-DC-01 and RHD-WSUS-01 but not the RHD-ISA-01. All servers are 2003 Server R2 SP2 EE. RHD-WSUS-01 is running WSUS SP1 RHD-ISA-01 is running ISA Server 2006 EE Domain name is RHD (as you guys already figured out I guess) I have configured ISA as an edge firewall with standard configuration for this so that it will allow all http traffic from inside to outside. The windowsupdate.log states all kinds of error regarding winhttp with an error number of: 0X80072efd What sould I do to correct this problem? 0 Back to top of the page up there ^ MultiQuote Reply #2 Arbeider Newbie Group: New Members Posts: 2 Joined: 21-Mar-07 Posted 23 Mar 2007, 03:38 Here the part from the WindowsUpdate log file: 2007-03-23 11:13:12 792 33c Misc WARNING: Send failed with hr = 80072efd. 2007-03-23 11:13:12 792 33c Misc WARNING: SendRequest failed with hr = 80072efd. address your WSUS question. Surfcontrol (like many other web filters) requires that you configure the ISA to "requires all users to authenticate". (W)SUS can be configured so that it can respond to proxy authentication. You have to set this in the server properties in (W)SUS manglement. -- -- Jim Harrison [ISA SE] Read the help, books and articles! I have created some explicit and general rules to try to allow local host to access both the WSUS isa 2006 server and the Windows updates URLs, but no joy! On the Windows update website, i get to the first step where i can choose the express setup then i get this: 'The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem. [Error number: 0x80072EFD] I am stumped, any help appreciated. Configure the browser to use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections 2. Configure the browser on the firewall to use the Internal IP address on the firewall as its Web proxy server HTH, Tom _____________________________Thomas W Shinder, M.D. (in reply to sydlegacy) Post #: 2 Page: [1] << Older Topic Newer Topic >> All Forums >> [ISA 2006 General] >> General >> ISA Server cant do Win Updates Page: [1] Jump to: Select a ForumAll Forums---------------------- [Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010] - - General - - Installation [Forefront Unified Access Gateway 2010] - - General - - Installation - - DirectAccess [IAG 2007] - - General [ISA 2006 General] - - Installation and Planning - - General [ISA 2006 Publishing] - - Web Publishing - - Server Publishing - - Exchange Publishing - - SharePoint Publishing [ISA 2006 Firewall] - - General - - Access Policies - - Network Infrastructure - - Firewall Client - - DMZ - - Branch Office - - VPN - - Logging and Reporting - - HTTP Filtering [ISA 2006 Web Proxy] - - General - - Unihomed - - Web Proxy Client [ISA 2006 Misc.] - - 3rd Party Add-ons - - ISA Firewall Tools - - Gaming - - ISA 2006 Programming - - ISA 2006 Wish List - - ISA Firewall Appliances - - ISA Firewall Coffee Shop [ISA Server 2004
