Here's the deal, I'm trying to burn my itunes playlist to a cd. The pc acts like it is going to do something, and then says "unknown error 4200." What's going on? I have the latest XP drivers, cd drivers, itunes updates, etc. I even decreased the write speed

I slowed down the speeds, made sure iTunes is up to date, created a new playlist, etc. I have not tried other software yet

I have been using them quite happily for well over a year now when they both suddenly stopped working. Example: i recently tried to burn an audio disc with 18 tracks, burnt the first two tracks and then came to a halt. I put it in a CD player and tracks 1 & 2 played with no problems but the others jus refused to budge. The CD player knew there were 18 tracks on the CD yet only itunes error 2 were playable. Please help me, I have tried burning data discs awell but have come to the same problem. I have used different software (including windows' built in burning software application) and all come to an "unknown error". Check this and try to update your Click to DVD : http://esupport.sony.com/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGCRA830G&UpdateType=Updates Also this site has a lot about burners so check it out: http://www.cdfreaks.com/ If you've removed Click to DVD better use the recovery application from Sony and reinstall it and apply the update after that.
