I have a situation here. My wife and I tried to burn some music to a CD using iTunes. The songs were recently purchased from the iTunes Music store. The problem that we are having is while the playlist is in the process of burning it'll stop the process after about a minute and a pop-up box shows up saying "The attempt to burn disc failed. An unknown error occurred (4310)." What's going on and what can I do about it? It doesn't happen when we burn CD's from music not purchased from the iTunes Music Store. Please help. Thanks everybody. I am attempting http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/itunes-error-4310.191049/ to burn a CD on my brand new Acer computer (complete with windows 8) and I am getting the error 4310: unknown error from Itunes or windows - I am not sure which - I would really appreciate your advice on what to do. elougirl, Jan 19, 2013 #1 Oddba11 Jim Joined: May 12, 2011 Messages: itunes error 5,563 What program are you trying to burn with, Windows or iTunes? Based on the error, I'd say iTunes. Otherwise you would be getting the typical Windows popup error with at a least a little description (and a link to the MS website). From a Google search, it appears to be a common problem. Check for an iTunes update. Someone also suggested changing the iTunes troubleshooter compatibility to "XP mode". itunes error 4310 Oddba11, Jan 21, 2013 #2 elpanterita Joined: Feb 25, 2013 Messages: 1 just burn with windows media player, even if the music is on .m4a format; i tried everything, updating itunes, ran compatibility mode, delete upper filters , re install cd drivers, everything... just use media player. elpanterita, Feb 25, 2013 #3 This thread has been Locked and is not open to further replies.
