iPhone iTunes Error 0xE8008001: Installing Unsigned Apps On Cydia Jailbroken 3.0 iPhone alex November 14, 2009 Errors 374 Comments Tweet If you have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch you may come across custom applications that you would like to install https://www.question-defense.com/2009/11/14/itunes-error-0xe8008001-installing-unsigned-apps-on-cydia-jailbroken-3-0-iphone via iTunes so all of your applications are still managed in one place. I https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200171936-Error-520-Web-server-is-returning-an-unknown-error originally thought that I would just be able to drag the applications directly into iTunes, sync my iPod Touch with iTunes, and begin using my new application. I believe this used to be the case before iPhone OS 3.0 was released which is the version of firmware installed on my Touch. Anyhow I attempted to proceed by itunes error following the below steps and ran into an error also noted below. First Attempt To Install Unsigned Application On iPod Touch With Firmware 3.0 Via iTunes: Load Application In iTunes: I dragged the application I had downloaded into iTunes without issue. It now showed up in the iTunes application list when syncing my iPod Touch. Sync Verification: I then plugged in my Touch, clicked on it in iTunes, clicked the Applications unknown error occurred tab, and made sure that the new application was checked to be synced. Attempted Sync: Now I clicked Sync and the application looked like it was being installed. After the syncing process was done I received an error 0xE8008001 stating there was an unknown error. The error in step three above was actually caused because the application I was attempting to install was not signed which is required for all applications being installed on your iPhone or iPod Touch and an example of such an error is shown in the below image. Luckily if your iPhone or Touch is jailbroken and using Cydia then you can follow the steps below and still install unsigned applications via iTunes. Install Unsigned Applications On iPhone or Touch With Firmware 3.0+ Via iTunes: Launch Cydia: First double click the Cydia desktop icon which will launch the application as shown below. Cydia Sources: First click the Manage in the bottom Cydia navigation menu which will open the window below. Now click on Sources to open the package source management window as shown below. Add New Source: Click the Edit button located in the top right of the window shown in the above image which will allow you to add new sources, edit current sources, or del
My website is slow or having performance issues What should I do if I'm expecting a surge or spike in traffic? Why do my server logs show CloudFlare's IPs using CloudFlare? Cloudflare Support Troubleshooting Error Pages > Error 520: Web server is returning an unknown error Error 520: Web server is returning an unknown error Michelle Zatlyn September 22, 2016 14:14 Overview The 520 error is essentially a “catch-all” response for when the origin server returns something unexpected or something that is not tolerated/interpreted (protocol violation or empty response). While the 520 error can be triggered by very unique and strange edge-case scenarios, they are generally caused by: Connection resets (following a successful TCP handshake) Headers exceed CloudFlare’s header size limit (over 8kb) Empty response from origin Invalid HTTP response HTTP response missing response headers If any of these conditions above can be confirmed from the webserver hosting the site, then it is recommended to consult with the host provider for assistance with the webserver configuration to avoid further interruption and errors. Common Causes 520 errors are generally caused at Layer 7, which is the Application Layer. This means that a 520 error is the result of a bad response coming back from the application. Rate limiting, or filtering requests (e.g. by connecting IP, or volume/frequency) can sometime cause issues with your application. Troubleshooting Due to the nature of the 520 response, it is best to test against the origin server response using a cURL command to confirm if any conditions have been met to trigger the error. This especially true to determine if the origin server is returning an empty reply, invalid HTTP response, or extremely large response headers. Here is an example command used to force the Host HTTP header while sending the request to the source IP where the domain is hosted (in this example we are sending a request for a login page): curl -vso /dev/null --user-agent "Mozilla 5.0" -H "Host: example.com" http://123.123.123.321/login Here is an example output where the origin response is an empty reply, which would normally trigger a 520 error if the request was proxied by CloudFlare: * Hostname was NOT found in DNS cache* Trying 123.123.123.321...* Connected to 123
