I was at my witts end trying to figure out how to fix this. I tried Every troubleshooting options I could find on the internet. (updated drivers, changed the hosts (many times in fact) removed antivirus, checked fire wall, stopped fire wall, messed with the hosts some more (copy & paste it to the desktop) downloaded tinyumbrella, put the phone in DFU mode, watched many youtube videos, LOL and I'm sure I'm missing a few other steps i took too.. ) It was something as simple as making sure I was logged in under the right itunes account :| So glad I didn't pay apple the $69 they wanted to tell me I'm a dumb@ss.... Thanks for the tip theoutsider!! You just saved me! Wish I would have ran across your suggestion a day or two ago... The total number of records processed is about 1.5 million (650mb). The application is split into 3 files: (1) all code in a front end (2) temporary import and processing tables in a ‘processing’ back end where each data source is processed at a time (3) one backend file containing the final parsed data for all 6 data sources. error 50 itunes All 3 files are located in the same directory and are compacted after processing each data source. After all six data sources are processed, one data file is exported for use in another application. The code is written to run unattended, so all errors are written to an error log file. I’m using Access 2010 running on Windows 7. The non-technical end-user (on a different continent) is running the application on a Mac using vmware. The code runs with no issues on my PC, but when the end-user runs on his Mac, he is getting an error half way through processing the last data file (6 of 6) which contains approximately 500,000 records. The error is as follows: “Error 3049on line 25610 in procedure Parse_SitusSt: Cannot open database. It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt.” Line 25610 is the rst!update statement. There is nothing out of the ordinary in the data for the particular record being parsed when the error occurs. At this point, the code stops executing that particular procedure and continues with the next procedure through the end of the code with no other errors. I’m not sure what is causing this error because I am unable to reproduce it. Th

It may not be a database that the application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt.” Cause The aforementioned error message occurs when the database file that you are trying to access is not a valid MS Access database file, means the file that you want to open in not .mdb file. Another reason for that error message is the damage of database file. Solution To resolve the specified error message, first you should check that you are accessing correct MS Access database file. If you had chosen wrong file then select the correct file and your problem will be resolved. However, if you know that the file you have selected is the correct MS Access database file then you need to repair the database file.
