What does it mean and how can I get Itunes to sync the podcast again? I did a search at the forum and at apple but I didn't find any info about this error. For example, here's iLounge's 404 page. Most likely, the podcast has been moved or deleted. Topic: Error 404: what does it mean? iLounge Forums » iTunes, Apps, and Media Content » Audi

All of them work except one: With that one, new episodes are found, but every time I try to download one I get an exclamation point next to the name. http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/76933/where-is-the-error-message-for-a-failed-podcast-download If I copy the URL from the episode and paste it into a browser, I can download the file so I don't know why iTunes is failing. Is there a way to see an error message? I looked in Console and did not see anything. itunes podcasts share|improve this question asked Jan 5 '13 at 23:51 jalynn2 31128 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote accepted Yes, when you are downloading episodes in iTunes 11, this icon shows up: Click it and you can open your download progress: If downloading fails, an error message will show up to the right of the status bar with an error code. You can Google this code for info. In my experience, this downloader is very unreliable if you have anything else downloading at the same time, or if you allow simultaneous downloads, although if you allow simultaneous downloads it generally finishes quicker if there are no errors. share|improve this answer answered Jan 6 '13 at 2:43 Ben Mordecai 3081211 Thanks for the info. I am getting a 404 which I know is a "page not found" error. I believe the URL is correct, so the mystery deepens...
be because of one of the following issue:Network issue in case of streamingCorrupted/Truncated downloaded file (can be a podcast server issue or a Podcast Addict issue)Android unsupported format (missing codecs ?)Unsupported characters in the downloaded file nameYour device mediaplayer service https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/295763-i-m-having-internal-player-unknown-error-mes crashed and rebooting the device will fix it.The app uses the device built-int mediaplayer service to play episodes. It means that when this kind of error occurs, Android mediaplayer service is the one returning the error. If you have this https://forum.blubrry.com/index.php?topic=3341.0 error with one specific episode it might be a compatibility issue or a corrupted file issue, but if you're having this issue with every episodes, it might indicate that Android mediaplayer service did crash. In that case only rebooting itunes error the device will fix this issue. If a downloaded episode fails to play, please try playing it with the device default player (you can use the Share button in the player screen to do so). If it works, then it looks like a Podcast Addict bug and I should be able to fix it. If it fails as well, then I won't be able to help, because the app (like most player app) relies on Android mediaplayer framework. In itunes error 404 that case the only workaround might be to try playing the episode with MX Player or VLC because they are using their own engine. If it still fails, please check the file size using a file explorer app. If the file size is less than 1MB please send it to me so I can analyze it.Please send me a mail (Settings/Contacts) with the following information so I can try to find the root cause of this issue:Android versionAre you streaming or playing a downloaded filePodcast feed url (long press on the podcast and select 'Copy url to clipboard' to do so)Episode nameThanks This article was helpful (thinking…) · Flag this article as inaccurate…Flag this article as inaccurate… · Admin → New and returning users may sign in Sign in prestine Your name Your email address Check! invalid email (thinking…) Reset or sign in with UserVoice password Forgot password? For the life of me I cannot get my feed to validate: http://www.feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fgadflyradio.com%2Ffeed%2Fpodcast%2F Here's what I think you need to know- I've tried deactivating all other plugins, but it still would not validate (the feed, that is)- The feed is set using a Custom Podcast channel and set to a custom post type. Regular post type doesn't work either.- I tried creating another podcast channel, but still this failed for me.Not sure what I could be doing wrong, but your help is appreciated. No episodes, then what you see is correct, your feed is 404 (not found) WordPress reports empty feeds as 404, and you cannot submit an empty feed to podcast directories. It's the chicken before the egg problem, sort of speak.
