As I was being updated with the latest edition of iTunes, the program provided the option of converting my iTunes library to a higher bit rate on my iPod. Converting these files took an incredible amount of time, in fact it took several hours. I accidentally unplugged the iPod while it was synced and converting these files, and the iPod has been giving me hell ever since. As of now, iTunes is telling me the "iPod cannot be synced. You lack the privilages to make these changes." Also an "unknown error (-61)" I have reset the iPod manually, but that did nothing. I also logged on to iTunes to make sure my computer was authorized, which it is. I don't think any of the files are corrupt, since this problem cam about when I tried converting the same files to a higher bit rate. I also cannot restore the iPod to factory settings. I'm using an iPod Classic from 2008 with iTunes 9.1. The computer is Macbook Pro from 2009. Please help me here. 04-14-2010, 09:14 PM #2 bwh79 Power Lounger Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Directly Abov

I've been plugging it into this same Macbook Air for about 3 months or so now, without issue. Suddenly this occurs. I checked for any new updates on the Macbook, and there were none. I tried restarting the computer, restarting the Ipod, and no matter what the same error message recurs. Is there any way around this problem? I'd rather not spend $200 on a new Ipod unless I absolutely have to. It is about 8 years old, but all in all it has been functioning fairly well recently. Thanks so much, Ben Answer this question I have this problem too Subscribed to new answers Is this a good question? Yes No Voted Undo Score 5 Cancel Comments: I have been plugging in using my PC Windows for the past year with this ipod touch without incident and only since installing itunes 12.1.3 has this "invalid response" message started showing up. I DO NOT have the $$ to purchase a new ipod so PLEASE respond. 10/06/2015 by Chris Babb I got this error, too. And my old iPod couldn't be recognized by my new MacBook in this early 2016. I searched so many fixes, restart my devices, update system (my iPod couldn't update to new iOS 9 or iOS 9.3)...... but nothing of them be helpful. So I have to find a alternative to iTunes to transfer songs between iPod and computer. March 23 by lisafinal Add a comment 0/1024 Cancel Post comment Are you sure you want to delete this zzzzzz?
