There is an easy test for this: If the installation is showing error 1304 or 1305, then eject disc Insert another unrelated disc into the drive for another program Attempt to install the program If the program does not install, or error 1304 or 1305 appears again, then the CD drive could be at fault This can be due to loose cabling, if you have a tower PC, or can range from a faulty laser to a broken tray. Either way, it is best to return the drive to the manufacturer, if possible, or buy a new one. For some reason, Shift itunes error 1304 + Restore no longer works on any iPhone i try. I decided i would try a repair and then the problem was solved, i shift + restored and it went through the restore proccess until it got started preparing the iPhone. I got an error, 1304 i think, and i just closed iTunes and tried to Recboot out but that didnt work. SO I changed user accounts to try restoring and then Recboot on there. I tried to shift + restore but now it is not working again, continues as if i hadnt pressed shift. So i try the repair again and this time nothing. I switch accounts back and nothing. So i am asking. What can i do to fix my Shift + Restore? OR do i have to revert back to iT9 which has worked the whole time for me? I am only wanting to stay with iT10 as i like the new interface but i suppoose it is functionality first...:\. 09-13-2010, 07:46 #2 (permalink) [emailprotected] Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: philippines Posts: 6 Member: 701228 Status: Offline > Thanks Meter: 0 better to reformat your pc then install lower version of itunes. 09-13-2010, 10:42 #3 (permali
