When I connect the iPhone to my computer (running Windows XP) I get a message to say: This device can perform faster, see pic http://www.flickr.com/photos/24748736@N00/3724526038/This is suggesting that I am not plugging it into a USB 2.0 port, but I am and I had an iPod touch and did not experience this problem. When I plug the iPhone into a friends laptop I do not get this message. This is really frustrating as it means any Sync with my computer is performed very slowly.Any ideas what might be causing problem or know how to fix it? If you are plugging into the computer directly (not through a hub) it could be the culprit. My son gets the same message when plugging his first generation iPhone into his computer, but it will still work, but as you describe, slowly. He isn't going to worry about it right now, because he cannot afford a new computer. The only fix is to get a USB 2 card for the computer. It looks like I didn't read your post good enough and you said it was a 2.0 port. It could be a driver issue you can address through Windows update.Message was edited by: ChrisJ4203 Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by w7ox, w7ox Jul 15, 2009 11:40 AM in response to benproph Level 4 (2,389 points) Jul 15, 2009 11:40 AM in response to benproph benproph wrote:This is suggesting that I am not plugging it into a USB 2.0 port, but I am ..Try a different cable.Reboot the computer.Phil Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Monty1945, Monty1945 Jul 15, 2009 12:24 PM in response to benproph Level 3 (690 points) Jul 15, 2009 1
