Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Facebook Share on LinkedIn Hi, iTunes is throwing error 1619 to me when I am restoring my iPhone 4 to the latest firmware. My iPhone is currently running on a non-jailbroken iOS 4.3.4 with baseband 4.10.01. I already tried to restore my device by downloading https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1550132?start=0&tstart=0 iOS 4.3.5 as well as directly through iTunes but still no work. I am also thinking to jailbreak my device. Any suggestion my friend? Thanks.Asked by: BeeJay from Honolulu , Hawaii Hello BeeJay, may I know what version of iTunes is installed on your Mac or PC? I bet that you have older version of iTunes installed on your computer. If that’s the case, then just simply uninstall your iTunes and then check this blog post to know more and http://jaxov.com/wiki/fix-itunes-error-1619-when-restoring-iphone-4-to-ios-4-3-5/ download the newly released iTunes 10.4.1 for Mac OS X and Windows. Once you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your Mac OS X or PC, then you can restore iOS 4.3.5 on your device. I would recommend you to re-download iOS 4.3.5 from here just to make that you have a perfectly working iPhone firmware. To jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.5, you will need to use Redsn0w 0.9.8b4. If you are new in the iOS jailbreaking scene, then should know that this version of Redsn0w offers tethered jailbreak method only, which means you have to connect your iOS device to your Mac or PC in order to power it on, then on the other hand, untethered jailbreak is completely computer independent. You can check this tutorial on how to jailbreak iOS 4.3.5 on iPhone 4 using Redsn0w 0.9.8b4.Want to get untethered jailbreak? Well, in your case, this is only possible if you will be able to downgrade or restore your iPhone back to iOS 4.3.1, iOS 4.3.2, or iOS 4.3.3 using saved SHSH blobs or by creating a signed IPSW. You can check this tutorial on how to downgrade iPhone using TinyUmbrella. The step by step guide on how to create signed IPSW using iFaith can be found here. 0 comments Click here to cancel reply.
