I was hoping 10.2.1 would have fixed it but it has not.I am running OS X Snow Leopard, not Windows, as most responders on this topic are.Authorisation seems to be working fine, but I've not tried to make any purchases (and I don't feel confident in doing so whilst this error is showing up). For me the problem was fixed permanently by opening iTunes with "Run as administrator" once. After that I dont't have the problem anymore. Maybe this information is helpful for someone.Chris Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Henk Winterboer, Henk Winterboer Mar 31, 2011 12:18 PM in response to Chri01 Level 1 (20 points) Mar 31, 2011 12:18 PM in response to Chri01 Thanks Chri01, your solution works for me. for "unknown error -42032" When in iTunes, the message "unknown error has occurred -42032" appears, this error can usually quite easily be remedied. Start the program simply as an administrator. In Windows 7, click to start the program, simply by right-clicking on the program icon. Then select "Run as administrator". Then confirm that you really want to start the program. Well, no error message should appear more and iTunes should run decently again. Work with an operating system such as Windows XP, just switch users. Probably you are logged in as a user, so you have to switch the user in the start menu and log on as administrator. You can then start iTunes again and the error should no longer appear. If the error is resolved, you must always log in as an administrator in the future to avoid re-error display. Remove the SC folder from iTunes ITunes is still "An unknown error has occurred -42032" highlighted, and the SC folder to blame in the iTunes files sein.Unter Windows 7 and Vista, go to remove this folder as follows: Click on the "Start" button and select "Computer" Now you have to select "Organize" and "Folder and Search Options". Here click on "View". According to consider whether under the menu item "Show hidden files u. Folder" in the "Advanced Settings" window really "Show all files and folders" is selected. Confirm with "OK". Now you need to enter a location in the address line: "C: \ Program Data \ Apple Computer \ iTunes." Once there, click with the right mouse button on the folder "SC Info". Select "Delete" from the context menu. Restart the computer and open iTunes. Now you must activate the computer for playing purchased songs. If multiple accounts are available, each needs to be specifically activated. If your iTunes then still get an error message, you can perform only a complete uninstall and then reinstall. However, this should be the very last step to eliminate the error.
