The movies downloaded and played, but since that laptop is so old, the streaming was really slow and the movies were unwatchable. In my case, I had a kernel panic that reset my clock on my desktop. This happened after I had rented one movie. I reset my clock to the correct time and am still getting the error code, even with new rentals. I suspect that Apple has written code that identifies your actual computer ID, or at least your IP address. This code must cause the iTunes Store to lock your account for that particular computer if the time changes. I've tried every conceivable solution to no avail. Reauthorizing the computer won't do the trick either. They really should do something about this problem, since users have various reasons why their clocks could change (relocating, battery going dead, and so on.)If anyone else has a solution, it would be greatly appreciated.
