by Michael on June 12, 2010 · 0 comments While trying to restore my iPhone earlier tonight (it's a long story), I ran into an iTunes error that was preventing me from re-activating my phone. http://www.jammersix.com/archives/error-accessing-itunes-9807/ After a bit of digging, however, I stumbled onto the solution. The error http://www.thetechgame.com/Archives/t=2287439/how-to-fix-any-error-on-ipod-iphone-ipad.html itself read: "We could not complete your request. There was an error in the itunes store (-9807)" The error actually appeared after I had put the iPhone into recovery mode. iTunes launched as expected, but when trying to connect to the store, that message popped up. I tried a few things, including re-mounting the iPhone itunes error and re-booting my computer. Nothing worked. I then stumbled on this page from the Apple support archives. It reference a different problem (error -50), but the solution worked. From the finder, choose "Go to Folder" from the "Go" menu Type /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and click "Go" Find NetworkInterfaces.plist and drag it to the trash Restart your computer This refreshes the network settings and, at least in my case, fixed the itunes error 9807 problem. Hopefully it will work for you, as well.
