I see the Unknown Error -4 just about every time I start up iTunes. Usually I can get into the store, but it can take up to 4 tries before it works. I also have a bunch of issues trying to purchase music or when I click on the account button at the top right of the store. I also see the Unknown Error -9844 quite a bit as well. This is get very annoying and to the point that I may have to stop using iTunes. I know that my network is working fine and has not changed since the upgrade to Leopard earlier this week.I have deauthorized and authorized this computer twice now and removed the entries in keychain, deleted the plist files and verified that there are no add-ons or scripts. IMHO, it's a 'Leopard' related problem because I have had no problems connecting before the upgrade!I can connect to ITMS after repeated attempts but 'signing in' is not possible.Strange thing is that my G4 'Tiger' iMac can connect and 'sign in' just fine.If this is 'Leopard'-related it needs to be fixed pronto!(As to music purchases, there's always Amazon.com from now on I guess!) Grrrr... For what it's worth, -9844 is documented as: errSSLConnectionRefused The peer dropped the connection before respondingIt seems to me that I used the store successfully for a few days after upgrading to Leopard before the problem started happening. I'm seeing it from two separate computers at home. Perhaps I'm grasping at straws, but this sounds to me suspiciously similar to Comcast's actions elsewhere. If other people having this problem are not Comcast customers, that probably nixes this theory. I'm going to try my laptop on non-Comcast net

That's part of the basic troubleshooting advice apple give, so I'd go with that if you've not done it yet.
