Solved iTunes error 4251 when trying to burn a cd Posted on 2009-06-15 Apple Hardware 1 Verified Solution 4 Comments 3,202 Views Last Modified: 2013-11-06 iTunes version 8.1.1.10 - I'm trying to burn songs to a CD (I know I tried a CD+R, and I itunes error tried one from another package that I think was a CD-R, but not 100% sure). iTunes get through the "initializing" part, then it says "cancelling CD burn". Then an error window is displayed - "The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unkinown error occurred (4251)." (attached pdf shows the error message) Making things even worse, once this error is generated, you have to throw away the cd, because when you try again, it thinks the cd itunes error code isn't blank. Looking at it in Windows Explorer, it shows a file for each song, titled, "track1, track2, track3" etc. Any ideas out there? iTunes-Error.pdf 0 Question by:cfwilbur Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Best Solution bycfwilbur I figured out that the error was caused by either of two things: (1) The user who gave me the file is no longer a valid iTunes user, or (2) the songs given to me by that iTunes user were not downloaded Go to Solution 4 Comments LVL 17 Overall: Level 17 Apple Hardware 13 Message Expert Comment by:xema2009-06-15 If you tried to burn the CD with a song with DMR it could be the problem. DRM is a copyright protection that makes the file useless except to be played on the computer where you downloaded the song and that has been authorized in iTunes. 0 Message Accepted Solution by:cfwilbur2009-06-16 I figured out that the error was
