Bumferry July 15, 2012 Facebook Twitter Pinterest Stumbleupon Whatsapp Email I have just installed iTunes to my new Windows laptop and put all my music on. However, there are quite a large number of duplicates. I am deleting the duplicates bit by bit, but every so often iTunes pops up with the following message: "The iTunes library file cannot be saved. There is not enough memory available." I do not know why this is, I have over 450GB of free memory on my hard drive to play with and 6GB of RAM (at the time, no other programs are being used). Once this message appears iTunes will almost always crash causing me to have to reopen it and find that most of the duplicates I have deleted are back. Please can anyone help because im getting cramp in my fingers (and my brain!). Thanks. "There is not enough memory available" when you try to sync your iPad with iTunes. There's no way this is the ideal solution - it doesn't actually fix the main issue at hand - but it will allow you to successfully sync your iPad and iTunes. NOTE: if you know how to really resolve this problem, not just use the work-around I have posted below - please contact me. When you plug in your iPad and it starts to sync - up pops the out of memory error. Select your iPad in iTunes and click the Sync button in the bottom right corner. You'll notice it try to sync pictures right before the error pops up. As you can http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/itunes-complaining-memory-laptop/ see in the screenshot below, iTunes is optimizing 1 of 5 images to transfer to the iPad. Then the error message will pop up. Here's the "solution" - just click the Sync button again. As you'll notice, the number of pictures that iTunes is optimizing is fewer (in the screenshot below it's optimizing just 3 images). That means 2 of the photos actually did get transferred to your iPad in the last sync, before the error. So just keep clicking http://www.simplehelp.net/2010/04/20/how-to-resolve-the-there-is-not-enough-memory-available-error-when-syncing-your-ipad/ that Sync button until you get a successful and completed sync. I know - not the ideal solution, but one that works. I found several suggestions to delete the iPod Photo Cache folder under My Pictures. I backed it up, just in case, and then deleted it. Now I can sync without having to get the out of memory error and having to keep hitting the sync button. If you write an article on finding a solution then you should have an actual solution as apposed to a quick fix, otherwise you are just wasting space. Secondly, I deleted my iPod cache folder and voila' the problem still exists. I'm hoping no one else wastes times here. http://www.simplehelp.net/ Ross McKillop Hi Shirley - This is a tutorial for the iPad, not iPod. I haven't been able to test it w/ an iPod so I can't (and didn't) confirm that it would work w/ iPods in addition to iPads. When done, the app can be installed on iTunes 11.1. When I upgrade to iTunes 11.2, there is no way to update the app. iTunes tells the app is not a valid iPod app... If I try to add the app directly to iTunes 11.2, it tells me that there is nos enough memory itunes error there available... Does anyone encountered this problem before and know how to solve it... ? ios titanium itunes share|improve this question asked Jun 4 '14 at 9:16 Pierrick Flajoulot 123111 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted Pierrick, It is an issue which is reported here. iTunes 11.2 contains a behavior change that prevents Titanium applications from installing to device via iTunes using the Titanium CLI, Titanium Studio, and Appcelerator Studio. This only affects development and test device builds when using iTunes. Simulator testing and publishing to the App Store is unaffected. There are several workarounds, Do not upgrade iTunes, or downgrade back to 11.1. Choose your device during the packaging wizard instead of using “iTunes Sync”. I saw that it worked installing the app directly on the phone but I wanted to share the app to someone... I'll tell him to downgrade his iTunes Anyway, thanks ! :) –Pierrick Flajoulot Jun 4 '14 at 12:38 @PierrickFlajoulot: You're welcom
