If I try to copy the vob file with explorer, I get a cyclic redundancy check error. I know this seems like a simple read error or scratched dvd, but there are no scratches and software dvd players have no troubles with this dvd. Click 'Ignore' when u come across an error....after 5 errors, u can choose to automatically ignore ALL errors. If there are loads...i suggest you do this :) Galmok14th January 2002, 10:04Well, I am not talking about the odd sector here and there, but numerous consecutive sectors. Give it a good cleaning and l-ec uncorrectable error try it again. Another cause is a dirty laser lens in your drive for which a shot of compressed air in the drive may help. Another is the fact that some discs come from the factory with small bits of corrupt data on them that will kill the rip process but not affecr playback on a standalone player.
