The thing is I am on a mac and don't know how http://www.fmsinc.com/free/NewTips/VBA/ErrorHandling/LineNumber.html to use an F8 in that case. See this sample code below. Sub sample() Dim i As Long On Error GoTo Whoa 10 Debug.Print "A" 20 Debug.Print "B" 30 i = "Sid" 40 Debug.Print "A" 50 Exit Sub Whoa: MsgBox "Error on Line : " & Erl End Sub For this to work, you will have to number the code lines as I have done above. If you don't have F8, you should have a menu item for stepping into a line. to show this in an error message.This is a light version of my error handler http://www.hatekonysag.hu/aevb/?p=5 and focuses only to the line number of the error.There is a http://www.ozgrid.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39970 variable called “erl” which contains the line number of the error, so we can use it in the error message: MsgBox Err.Number & " - " & Erl & " - " Err.Description But this will show 0 instead of the line number if we didn't put numbers line number at the beginning of the rows.Dick Kusleika wrote about the MZ Tools, and MZTools is a great tool for this too.There is an "add line number" icon on the toolbar which made the line numbering in my stead.Add Line Number IconVoila, it is done, and we can use it.
