@ 9:41 PM Points: 204, Visits: 606 I have setup an IIS Web site and a SQL Server 2005 64-bit, but my ASP web page always displays : Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/306212 Drivers error '8004d00a' [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Distributed transaction error /_lib/function/Connection.inc, line 167What is it ?Does it come from the IIS or the SQL Server, please help me, thanks Post #450353 Torsten Schüßler-406123Torsten Schüßler-406123 Posted Friday, February 1, 2008 2:03 AM SSC Rookie Group: General Forum Members Last Login: Wednesday, November 12, 2014 7:24 AM Points: 28, Visits: 371 Hi,make sure the distributed transaction coordinator (DTC) is configured correctly. http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic450353-149-1.aspx The web server and the SQL Server must be able to see each other over the network, by name. For more information on configuring MTS for use with DTC and SQL Server, see KB #191168. There is also a new KB article written by an ASP.NET MVP: KB #555017.And be sure to use an the right OLE-DB connection string. Hi Dave, Thanks for your post. If I understand correctly you got the following error message when you tried and connect using an ODBC connection form within an MTS/COM+ component. http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/SQL-Server/microsoft.public.sqlserver.dts/2005-04/msg00608.html Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '8004d00a' [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Distributed transaction error Based on my research, by default, network DTC access is disabled on the Windows Server 2003 products. When you do not enable network DTC access on the server, applications can only use transactions that stay on the local computer. Please try the suggestions in the following linked server article and do not forget to restart your computer after enabling network DTC access. 817064 HOW TO: Enable Network DTC Access in Windows Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/?id=817064 // "SC@IS"
