I had installed a Linksys N over a year ago and it was working well with a Linksys N adaptor on one laptop in my downstairs den and a Linsys G on an upstairs Lenovo PC. I linksys error 323 also connected with an extended antennae from a detached garage in my workshop, using the linksys N adaptor. However several months ago, I bought a $200 used Dell laptop to replace an IBM Thinkpad that gave up the ghost. At first, the used Dell would not connect with the LinksysN router and I tried to connect over sevral weeks. I kept getting "acquiring network address" over and over, would never connect and would then turn itself off. I do not know what I did but I finally got the used Dell to connect from the Den. Thinking the problem was solved, I bought a new Linksys 1000 adaptor a few days ago. I'm not back to the same "acquiring" problem but now I get a message "Error 323" when I try to download the cd disk ROM for the router. I have the disks for all the adaptors (Linksys G; Linksys N; Linksys N (new); Belkin G.)
I looked up "error 323 Linksys router" on Google and I see several attempts to help solve the problem but most of it goes over my head. While I have been fooling around

When I booted my PC it had a network connection error for the storage.I noticed that the Network connection icon on the unit & on my router are no longer lit. I've tried resetting the DNS and I've tested all ports on the router to verify that they all work using my laptop to connect to the internet. I've also made sure that the network cable is good.Is there anything that can be done or is the unit toast? Logged RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two. perrosadico Level 1 Member Posts: 9 Re: DNS-323 Won't connect « Reply #2 on: December 26, 2010, 11:01:10 AM » Hello,I just have the same problem !! My network is not "seeing" the 323. And the network lights on the 323 are not lit. Also my right hand driver ( front view ) light is "white". I have also check all ports on the router and all work fine. I did change my router a few days back from a tosted Linksys to a Belkin, so I also " factory reset" both router and 323 thinking that was the problem. No luck.BUT .... when I connect directly the 323 to my ethernet port on my PC ( no router involved )
