GOM is being blocked by a firewall that your security / antivirus software has put up and/or by your router settings. 2. The target video has been deleted. 3. There is a problem with the server that is hosting the target video. An ASX file is essentially a simple address file that points your media player to a server and lets you stream a video without actually holding any audio or video data itself. If you’re getting a connection error when trying to connect via GOM Media Player, it is possible that your security / antivirus software put up a firewall that is blocking GOM from transmitting / receiving the data. If you can play the ASX file with Windows Media Player but not GOM Media Player, this is likely the case. Please check your firewall settings to make sure GOM isn’t being blocked. If it is being blocked, please add GOM.exe to the list of approved software. Your Router might also be blocking access to the server. Please check your router settings to make sure GOM.exe is not being blocked. If you can’t play the file with Windows Media Player, it is possible that the file has been deleted. In this case there is unfortunately no way to play the file. Lastly, if you can sometimes play a file
