But today, when i tried opening a video file using WMP (Windows Media Player) It pops up an error box, saying WMP has encountered a problem and needs to close. I do not know what is going on, because last time i could open them, but today I cant. My error signature is Error signature AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 11.0.5721.5145 ModName: unknown ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00000000 The weird thing is that not all video files could not be opened. I need desperate help, hope someone could help me. Apr 17, 2008 #1 lacharis TS Rookie The file you were trying to open may have caused WMP to crash. Try to play it again. Does it crash? If so then the file is probably corrupt or incompatible with WMP. If no files work then the only thing i could say to do is to reinstall it.
