My Vista 32 bit O.S. carries the Media https://mymce.wordpress.com/2013/05/23/fixing-windows-media-player-cannot-rip-one-or-more-tracks-from-the-cd-error-2/ Player so, after inserting a CD to rip to the Library, everything seems like it's working. The computer recognizes the disc, identifies its name and contents in a list, the rip begins and before it reaches the half way point on the first track, it stops ripping and the word 'Error' replaces the 'ripping' on the first track and then it continues media player to the end of the tracks, ejects the CD and I'm left asking questions about why it did that. I removed some programs that I thought may be interfering with the Media Player but still no joy. Does anyone have an answer to this particular problem? I would appreciate any suggestions. Resolution:- 1] Open the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter Run this diagnostic tool. 2] Enable WMP Error correction. In Windows Media Player ->Click on Tools -> Options -> Devices, click the CD burner, choose> Advanced, and set the error correction to On. 3] Change Rip Settings 4] In the Library View in Windows Media Player, right-click on Music (on the left column), and select "Manage Music library" and choose a valid folder as the Default save location.
