I tried something like /opt/eclipse/eclipse -consolelog -nosplash -application org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director.app.application -flavor tooling -installIU org.eclipse.sdk.ide -p2.os linux -p2.ws gtk -p2.arch x86_64 -roaming -profileProperties org.eclipse.update.install.features=true -metadataRepository file:/opt/eclipse/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.metadata.reposit ory/cache/ -artifactRepository file:/opt/eclipse/ -destination /tmp/eclipse-sdk -bundlepool /tmp/eclipse-sdk -profile SDKProfile -version 3.4.2.M20090211-1700 -vmargs -Declipse.p2.data.area=/tmp/eclipse-sdk/p2 But all I get is the p2-directory but nothing else. And a bunch of error messages: !ENTRY org.eclipse.equinox.p2.metadata.repository 4 1003 2009-09-09 16:05:38.728 !MESSAGE Error saving metadata repository: file:/opt/eclipse/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.metadata.reposit ory/cache/ !STACK 0 java.io.IOException: Permission denied at java.io.UnixFileSystem.createFileExclusively(Native Method) at java.io.File.createNewFile(File.java:883) at org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.metadata.repository.LocalMet adataRepository.save(LocalMetadataRepository.java:188) at org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.metadata.repository.LocalMet adataRepositor
