When I open MSN, the log in page will come up. I typed in my log in name and password, but it will remain on that log in platform. I am not able to view my contact list. No error code comes up whatsoever. I am unable to use my MSN. So I tried to uninstall it and install the 8.5 version instead, but it wouldn't let me do so. What's the problem? What should I do? Please email me back. My operation system is: Windows XP Maxthon browser Thanks, HC See more Unable to see contact list on MSN Messenger 9 Downloading Msn messenger 9.0 (Solved) How to remove msn messenger 9.0 (Solved) Please help me download msn messenger 9.0 I cant install msn messenger 9.0 Delete an MSN Messenger account from the contact list Helpful +18 Report Wayne S Aug 1, 2009 11:10AM Okay for anyone who has the disappearing contaact list i have a faster solution. 1) Open your msn and login...even though you have no contacts 2) Open your Windows task manager 3) Go to process and find msnmessenger...or something similar to that and click on it then select end process 4) Restart the msnmessnger and your contacts will be there It works ALL the time guranteed. and WAY faster than re-installing. or downgrading View all 26 comments Report cheer allstar- Aug 6, 2009 04:57AM hey thanks, this helped, as i had the same problem. got an easy solution for you.The 80071392 error is caused due multiple Windows Live Messengers running in the background, even if you don't see them appearing in the taskbar. To fix error, simply run Task Manager by pressing ctrl+alt+del buttons or right mouse click at Taskbar and Start Task Manager. End all processes that contain msnmsgr.exe or anything very similar to this if you are using an older version of Messenger.Once you end Msn applications you should be able to run and sign in to Messenger. If for some reason you still can't get ride of this error I recommend you to run top registry fix tool, Registry Easy to fix and speed up your Windows. 43 comments Tags: Error Code 80071392 Fix 8001012e Windows Live Messenger Error Before following these steps make sure you have the latest Windows Live Messenger (MSN) installed, although most of the time 8001012e error is not related to your WLM.If you use an older version of MSN follow these steps:- Exit MSN- Go to start button then click run or simply hit Windows keyboard button + R to open Run- Type following: %appdata%\microsoft\msn messenger and hit enter- Deleted all folders and files located in this pathIf you use Windows Live Messenger follow these steps.Method for Windows XP users:- Exit Windows Live Messenger- In Tools Menu check Show hidden files and folders- Navigate to those paths and delete every subfolder or filesC:\Documents and Settings\Your Windows logon name\Contacts\Your Messenger e-mail addressC:\Documents and Settings\ Your Windows logon name \Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts\ Your Messenger email addressMethod for Windows Vista users:- Exit Windows Live Messenger- In Tools Menu check Show hidden files and folders- Navigate to those paths and delete every subfolder or filesC:\Users\Your Windows logon name\Contacts\Your Messenger e-mail addressC:\Users\Your Windows logon name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts\Your Messenger e-mail address If none of these method l
