No non-MS services are running to interfere with the .Net install. I have run sfc /scannow, which completed some repairs, and I rebooted the machine. Even logged on as my admin account I receive the same result. This computer is a standalone laptop, not connected to any domain or network other than to my residential ISP service. No GPOs are present to cause any issues. The error first occurred via Windows Update; I tried running the .Net update on its own with my Internet connection with the same result. I last tried with the offline .Net 4.5.2 downloaded installer package, and the result is still the same. The problem is not with the installer service as all other Windows updates install properly. I have found nothing online with this specific scenario, so I'm going straight to the source. Is anyone familiar with this issue? What other methods may I try? (I would really prefer to avoid rebuilding this machine if at all possible.) Please note that I am ***NOT*** a programmer/developer and therefore not fluent in .Net or its use; my expertise is in Windows desktop and network/server administration. If anyone has any ide
