Reply to davelectronic 4 answers Last reply Aug 31, 2016 More about network slow start xcawhyMar 31, 2012, 10:17 AM It's about Net Framework v.4.0 . It İnstalls a Service called "Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN v.4.0..."From Services make it "manuel" instead of "Automatic" Network and its icon will appear very fast on next boot.Because of not diasbling it; your programs which depends on Net Framework won't be affected. Reply to xcawhy DanmanJAug 12, 2012, 10:37 AM The Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN service suggested by xcawhy was exactly my problem. Windows XP Pro SP3 would boot very fast but the Network Icon took a few minutes to show. Changing the Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN service from Automatic to Manual was a solution that worked. You can access this service in a few different ways:1. Start | Programs | Administrative Tools | Services(Classic Menu with Display Administrative Tools Checked)-OR-2. Start | Run | services.mscScroll Down to Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN v4.0.30319_X86 and double click it, change the startup type: From Automatic to Manual and Reboot. Reply to DanmanJ Related Resources solved I have two computers one wont start up and I tried everything and no XP disk.
