I have aquired 2 netbooks, i removed the hard drives and have tested and formatted them externally. When the drives are returned to the netbooks and I try to install xp home ed. I get the error "No GRLDR" on a black screen. Im trying to install from usb key - I dont want to find a copy of windows that has the grldr installed - I just want to get rid of it and install windows normally, no dual boot etc. Please dont tell me to insert the original cd as there are no cd drives only usb key but the error appears as soon as the key is seen, obviously as there is no grub file on the key. How can i stop the netbook looking for this file and why didnt it go when i did the reformat?
