Oracle error 24909 as shown on your screen shot is caused because there will be some other connection which was not closed and you are trying to issue a "Oracle Call Interface(OCI)" command(the one that "import" issues). 0 Message Author Comment by:systemsautomation2010-03-11 Restarting did not help. I tried it with commit=Y this time and it imported over 4000 rows but after that raised error E:\>imp abc/password file=abc.dmp full=y commit=Y Import: Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production on Thu Mar 11 18:56:22 2010 Copyright (c) 1982, 2005, Oracle. The Oracle version on both machines is 10.1.0.3. An error occurs 'IMP-00009: abnormal end of export file' when 93 tables are imported and 5 are left. Used the metalink but could not find anything, the pages I found show the failure of import utility right at the start and not after importing some tables. The description of the table at which import fails is: SQL> desc mam_mmo_data Name Null?
