Is there something I need to do to allow export to function in the correct manner. THE FULL SOLUTION FOR ME WAS (WINDOWS MACHINE) 1) Open command prompt at C:\Oracle\Ora92\rdbms\admin 2) Logon to sqlplus as sysdba, to do this in command prompt you need to execute command sqlplus "sys as sysdba" 3) Run catexp.sql - this gets rid of some errors (to run type @@catexp.sql in command prompt) 4) Run catproc.sql 5) Run catmeta.sql this requires to shutdown oracle, run the patch and restart as described below. 1)logon sqlpus sysdba 2)shutdown immediate; 3)startup migrate; 4)@@catpatch.sql; 5)Shutdown immediate; 6)Startup; oracle share|improve this question edited May 14 '09 at 9:39 asked May 13 '09 at 8:32 AJM 12.1k38121207 Wow. With oracle 9.2.0.1 export worked fine, after upgrade to 9.2.0.5 it fails every time it gets to the table data export stage. 08, 2010 - 10:36 am UTC Category: Database Version: version 7.3.2.3 Whilst you are here, check out some content from the AskTom team: LOG ERRORS: Suppress row-level errors in DML (from PL/SQL Challenge) Latest Followup You Asked Dear Tom, recently (last week actually!) I started exporting some of my Bases via MS-DOS direct to my PC using either 'exp' or 'exp80' depending on the Base. With one of them (Bases that is!)I keep on getting the following error 'exporting table TDATOSGENERALES EXP-00014: error on row 583691 of table TDATOSGENERALES EXP-00008: ORACLE error 1013 encountered ORA-01013: user requested cancel of current operation exporting table TDATOSGENERALESANT 778522 rows exported etc etc. This error is random i.e occuring on different tables every time I attempt to export but always with the same Schema/User. There is absolutely no activity on that Schema when it happens so can you help me find a solution. My first thought was that it was something to do with the size of the table as it seems to occur only on tables with large number of rows but what is driving me up the wall is the randomness of it! I did see the archive where you speak about this viz. a viz SQLPlus and Unix terminals etc. Do you know if the equivilant of 'stty isig' exists in the MS-DOS world. My PC is running W95 and the Base I am trying to export is Oracle 7.3.2.3 I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the most usefull response you gave me recently viz. a viz ORA-1555 and Export. The support note 40689.1 was most comprehensive and clear. While I am on the subject can you tell me where I can find an archive of Support notes on the OTN, or if such a thing exists. If 40689.1 was anything to go by I feel I might progress faster with my Oracle education with them rather than the manuals! Regards, Michael and we said... Well, yet another support note to the rescue maybe..... Article-ID:
