Solved Oracle upgrade export/import solutions has empty tables Posted on 2008-07-30 Oracle Database Query Syntax 13 Verified Solutions 21 Comments 1,546 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-18 Hi all, I am upgrade Oracle from Oracle 8i to Oracle 10g. I have successfully installed Oracle 10G on a new Linux Server machine and able to create multiple databases. I am now trying to import an old Oracle 8i database- upgrade it into the new server. I run a full export, then ftp it over to the new machine and then ran import. I have done this about 4 times, each time the user tables show up with >select * from all_users; but the tables are empty. I then tried to only export the schema only over then exported a full database and imported it, I still have empty tables. Can you please help? Thanks. 0 Question by:kaypoo Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 10 Best Solution bydbmullen run this on your old system using sqlplus, spool it to a file change what you want to make it work for the new database SET HEADING OFF; SET FEEDBACK OFF; SET PAGESIZE 999; set linesize 100; Go to Solution 21 Comments LVL 14 Overall: Level 14 Oracle Database 14 Query Syntax 4 Message Active 4 days ago Assisted Solution by:ajexpert2008-07-30 Hi, Export/Import operation can be logged.
