Oracle Error Unable To Issue Savepoint Command

The problem is only present in a pre-production environment, and is not reproducible in any of our development and test environment, hence making it quite impossible for us to debug the Forms. The error pops up every time a button that starts a webutil interaction with Word, so we suspect it to be related to webutil and possibly the Windows environment, but if any of you guys have an idea or two to what else we could look after, it would be highly appeciated! If the later your best bet is probably My Oracle Support. A search for "savepoint" in the source code reveils a handfull calls of savepoints, but none of them seems to be related to the form where the problem is. I know you can't come up with a solution to the problem out of the blue and without the context. I was just hoping somebody had seen this error before and would be able to guide or inspire my further investigations. I can't remember to have seen this error before in my 20+ years with Forms, and even Google can't find very many hits on it Report message to a moderator Previous Topic: oracle forms 6i runform has stopped working windows 7 Next Topic: How to save file on local machine Goto Forum: - SQL & PL/SQLSQL & PL/SQLClient Tools- RDBMS ServerServer AdministrationBackup & RecoveryPerformance TuningSecurityNetworking and GatewaysEnterprise ManagerServer Utilities- Server OptionsRAC & FailsafeData GuardReplicationStreams & AQSpatialText & interMedia- Developer & ProgrammerAppli

How to redirect to login screen in oracle developer forms? betcyt (Programmer) (OP) 3 Mar 09 17:05 How to redirect to login screen in oracle developer forms 6i(6.0.8.11.3), when user session times out.In my oracle developer forms application, if the user has been idle for more than 30 mins or may be less,it's logged off automatically and the error coming as FRM - 40655:SQL error forced rollback, clear form and re-enter transaction.(FRM:40512:ORACLE error:unable to issue SAVEPOINT command ). This happens since the idle_time parameter is set to 30 min.In such situation, I would like to redirect theuser back to the log in screen(instead of exiting from the application). In otherwords the ORACLE system will request the user's password in order to return to the screen that was previously in use. No data is lost. For that, I have created a form. Basically I am only using WIN_API_SESSION of that library(D2KWUTIL)to handle session in my form. But it causes the form not to respond. What's the issue?? .Can anyone tell?. Am I doing it the right way?.(Or how can I use session in my application). It does not call the login screenafter expiration. WIN_API_SESSION is not working.
