To access Outlook error log: open Computer Management - Event Viewer - Windows Logs - Applications or/and Event Viewer - Applications and Service Logs - Microsoft Office Alert. As a recommended solution I would open Outlook in safe mode first. It will indicate if Outlook’s add-ins causing the issue. To start Outlook in safe move: Start – Run and type C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\Outlook.exe /safe If Outlook stopped restarting (in safe mode) then you know it is one of the add-ins. Open Outlook again in Safe Mode and disable issued add-ins. Sometimes, .pst file is corrupted or even hard drive. So, check / verify .pst file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\scanpst.exe As per hard drive; run a scandisk or even hardware test to verify it.
