I was having the same Memory Parity error on a bunch of xw 4400's that we are refurbishing with 8 GB RAM and Windows 7 64-bit SP-1. They came with an NVIDIA Quadro FX 560 card. The whatever-you-get drivers from Windows Update for the video card were causing the error. I downloaded and installed new drivers, released in May 2012, from the NVIDIA website and the trouble went away. I had the exact symptoms as this with an XW4400, except this machine had a FX3500 video card. in the BIOS, if you disable "memory remapping", the machine works with 8GB installed.The downside is, that you will not have all 8GB of memory available (my example shows 7.25GB useable).
