Yo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQa9zy7T8UI again. I've got a Gigabyte GA-K8N51GMF-9 motherboard (read old) with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ processor on which the PCI-e slots have failed and don't respond. That means that my PCI-e video card no longer works. I've had the card tested and it works fine and I've tried other PCI-e cards (both x1 & x16) parity error in the slots, and none work. So..... being that I need more than 64mb of video ram, I bought a PNY/NVIDIA 512mb PCI card to overcome my video ram problem. It seems to function fine except that about every 5 boots or so, the Window 7 logo screen stops loading and a small message appears at the upper left corner of the screen saying "PCI Parity Error, and the next line pci parity error says press F1 to ignore or F2 to reboot" F1 does nothing, so I reboot and get the repair or start normally screen. The repair does nothing, but the start normally does exactly that, and continues to boot normally for another 5 or so times. I'm woefully under-employed so I really don't want to spend any more than is necessary to fix. Anyone have any ideas? Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top Xhi Posts: 6298 This post has been reported. Sorry for your problems, but if your PCIe slot(s) have gone bad, there is no reason to believe that the PCI slots might not be next. You have an obvious motherboard problem I would think. That being said, I would remove and reseat the PCI card blowing out the slot with compressed air and inspecting it for bent or damaged pins. Also if you have more than one slot change the board to that slot after inspecting it as well. Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top Sarris Posts: 189 This post has been reported. Did that. No change. But, it only happens after 5 or so reboots. You may be right, mobo might be going out. Anyone with any other thoughts?? Reports: · Po
