I've had it goin for quite a while according to my event viewer...I know that most nv* files are usually for nvidia stuff, so I updated my vid card drivers, parity error but it still does it every hour. Parity errors tends to be storage related as well. Are you running a RAID array of any sorts? Might be time to backup any valuable data. I have 2 IDE drives, and 2 SATA drives. I'm thinking I need to update my nforce4 drivers, but the "newest" is from 2006. im looking thru my versions of the files listed on http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_win2k_6.86.html and almost everythign I have is newer than whats listed there. The oldest one I can find is that my audio driver matches whats on the latests nforce4 release on nvidias site. Oh and do this while you're at it: [Testing the Hard drive] Download the CD image of Hitachi Drive Fitness Test, burn the ISO file to a CD, and then boot from it, just like you would do with the XP/Vista install CD. Test the hard drive and see if any problems are found. DFT will run on most manufacturers' hard drives. Alternatively, you can use Seagate's SeaTools for DOS to test a Seagate or Maxtor drive. For a Western Digital drive, you could use Data Lifegua

Replacing the IDE cable fixed the error.
